Shirley and I drove from Los Angeles down to the Anza Borrego Desert on Saturday.
Our friend, Steve Barton in San Diego, had told us that the desert weather has been perfect
during this winter's current warm spell and
we wanted to experience it for ourselves. We drove into the town of Borrego Springs
looking for a place to take a break and grab a bite to eat when Shirley saw
a sign for a Mexican restaurant. We pulled into the parking area that
surrounded this funky square with different shops that faced the quadrangle
within, and entered the place in search of Pablito's Mexican Bar and Grill.
Not only did we find it, but the restaurant was a jewel, one of those
wonderful places in America that Shirley and I are always so grateful to
stumble upon. We met the owner, friendly woman by the name of Patricia Vasquez, and
we enjoyed a great meal. The
whole establishment displayed a wonderful style and resonated with the pride
of the owner.
Here are some shots from Pablito's.
