Shirley and I found ourselves cruising down Main St in Copperopolis the other day when I spotted one of those old-time drive-in burger joints, take out only with picnic tables out front. We turned the car around and parked along the side of the building; this was our introduction to Matt's Take Out. What a great surprise. Along with the usual burgers-fries-dogs fare, the menu also offered various oriental dishes. Shirley ordered a chicken and vegetable bowl with rice and I opted for a beef teriyaki bowl; both orders arrived hot and delicious.

I love these places and do what I can to support them. Matt came outside to say hello and chat with us, as did his mom, Lila. Visit them soon, you won't be disappointed.
