Duarte's Grill and Tavern
The drive south from Half Moon Bay followed the coast as we travelled Route 1 through alternating stretches of sunlight and fog blowing in from the Pacific Ocean. In about 15 miles we turned east on Pescadero Road and found our destination two miles up the road, Duarte's Grill and Tavern.
Duarte's is a Pacific Coast institution famous for its Artichoke Soup and homemade pies, and this memorable eatery should be high on your list of places to experience if you find yourself in the area. We enjoyed both the restaurant and the rustic feel of Pescadero.
We shall return.

We meet Moe: chef, menu planner, caterer, Pacific Coast food maven, and Duarte's customer.
A friendly and helpful staff is always appreciated.
