Beans Coffee Co.

Waterford, CA

Shirley and I began our drive to Sonora Pass in the Sierra Mountains with a visit to one of our favorite coffee shops,  Beans Coffee Co. on rte 132 in Waterford. Located on Yosemite Blvd, Beans is a regular stop for us when we take rte 132 towards the Sierra. We enjoy visiting and supporting local places like Beans; they are friendly and clean, and sell great coffee and pastries as well. Besides the usual espresso, cappuccino, and lattes, they have a wide selection of specialty coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, wraps, and salads. There is comfortable seating and free WI-FI for your browsing pleasure. They crafted my usual morning drink, a non-fat latte with an add-shot ready to drink (at 140 degrees) perfectly. Stop in for a visit, you won't be disappointed.

Places like this are the heart and soul of free enterprise in America and it is up to us to support the owners of these businesses as they compete for a living against the monster-sized coffee conglomerates. Stop in and visit them, you will miss them if they disappear.

During these hard economic times, it is more important than ever that visitors support the local establishments that not only provide needed services and employment, but also contribute regional color and character to the area, enriching the experience for all of us.
